A Stone Marries an Egg is about the victory of displacement and the sensitivity and strength that it brings. 108 women, makers, in a staged show, blur the lines of art and artisan, performer and audience — raising questions of class, cast, femininity, and ego. The visual aesthetic and use of form and colour act as an entrance to the individual stories.
Thus, breaking the frame and forcing the audience to look at the activity they are attending. A photo series presenting art and artisan, displacement and discomfort, performance and participation, sensitivity and strength.

About the Artists

Howareyoufeeling.studio is a multidisciplinary creative studio by couple Doyel Joshi and Neil Ghose Balser. With an approach to investigate emotion in relation to a subject the studio creates magnanimous extensions of these in large scale installations.
We work on new formats of public engagement with an attempt to expand the scope of what art and performance can do outside of traditional gallery spaces. Working with a contemporary notion and sentiments of the current Zeitgeist we navigate this both with our own heritage and tradition questioning the very ideas around provenance. Above all, taking our approach of simply asking ourselves the question of: ‘How are we feeling’ in a given context.
Joshi has a BFA in Fashion Design with a focus on
sculpture from Parsons/ The New School, New York; Ghose Balser has a dual degree in Art, Performance and Sound Design from I-Arts Maastricht/ Netherlands and The New School, New York. The duo has exhibited their works in galleries in New York, Germany and across the nation.

“Studio Suryan//Dang” is a collaborative practice for
visual narration hosted by Saurabh Suryan & Lokesh Dang based out of Delhi. The studio is interested in built archives through the Indian landscape. We focus on designs from chairs to skyscrapers and everything in between that’s intriguing.
We are two hosting partners as Saurabh Suryan & Lokesh Dang, formed the practice to help architects document their works. We host a variety of works ranging from portraiture, landscape, documentary photography and filmmaking. Suryan studied B.Arch from Sushant School of Art & Architecture, Gurgaon and worked as an architect with many renowned firms across India like Studio Mumbai & Sameep Padora and Associates, before establishing the studio practice in Delhi.

Dang studied PGD in Creative Photography from
Sri Aurobindo Center for Arts and Communication and has been practicing as a documentary photographer, for which he has won a National Media Award. The duo has exhibited their works at various galleries across the nation.
